Concept Overview: 

1. Demonstration of flame created in an environment of excess Oxygen.

Lecture Procedure

Step(s) to Follow Expected Result
Take a piece of steel wool and light it on fire wool will glow red and burn very slowly
Submerge steel wool in liquid oxygen for a few seconds.  Remove and light on fire. Wool will burst into flames and disintigrate

Liquid oxygen takes an hour to prepare - please be sure to submit in plenty of time to have it ready.
