Set-up Instructions:
1. Measure the correct-sized loop of string/twine by utilizing the posts on the storage apparatus.
2. Slide the spring onto the protruding rod of each car. Hold the cars near each other by wrapping the string around the screws on the bottom of each car. (see photos below)
3. Place the large mass in 1 of the two cars.
4. Cap each car with the boxes, labeled car A and car B. Be sure that boxes face the students.
Maintenance: Check to be sure that the swivel wheel will not drag and impede the motion of the moving cars. Wheels periodically must be adjusted and tightened, so check all of these before sending demo into lecture.
