1. Check that immersed cylinders have been brought to boiling temperature.

2. Pull them out of the water and hang them from the horizontal rod above the wax cake, allowing them to rest on the cake.

Immediately, the cylinders will begin to melt through the wax until it eventually stops melting.  Each cylinder will progress a different distance, thus showing their specific heats (see table below)
