Step(s) to Follow | Expected Result |
---|---|
For use with the neon glow lamp: 1. Move the lamp side to side along the horizontal coil, making sure not to touch the loop of the lamp to the coil |
Light will get brighter and dimmer as it passes through nodes and antinodes |
For use with the single light bulb: 1. Hold the bulb apparatus parallel to the antennae and make note of it's brightness. 2. Turn the bulb apparatus 90 degrees, so that it is vertical and make note of brightness |
The bulb will lose brightness |
For use with the mult-bulb array 1. Hold the bulb apparatus parallel to the antennae and make note of the differences in brightness |
The light bulbs will differ in brightness, thus showing where the nodes and antinodes are |
**You could also make use of the Marshmallows in the Microwave demonstration in place of this**
