Equipment: Air track and accessories which are located in Room 75.

Procedure: Many one-dimensional experiments in dynamics and kinematics can be performed with this equipment. Consult the manual furnished with the equipment for ideas and comments on use. The chief value is in the demonstration of collision phenomena, particularly the case of the body striking a stationary body of the same mass.

The air track can be used for M-D4. It can also be used as an inclined plane with negligible friction with which one can obtain rather good values for g, or for the performing of M-K6.
